American rapper and socialite, ASAP Rocky was detained upon his arrival from Barbados at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, following his claimed involvement in a shooting incident that occurred in November 2021.
The rapper was with his pregnant girlfriend Rihanna when the arrest and search warrant were carried out, according to NBC News. According to NBC News, the rapper has been released after posting bond, which was set at $550,000.
Even though the rapper has been released, NBC News reports that he has been set to appear in court on August 17, 2022.
ASAP Rocky Cheating Scandal
Rocky’s newest arrest is the latest in a series of controversies that he and Rihanna have faced while she was pregnant. The artist was accused of cheating on the Rihanna singer with Fenty designer Amina Muaddi earlier this month, but she disputed the accusations on Friday, April 15.
Other Times Asap Rocky Has Been Arrested
ASAP Rocky was detained for assault in Stockholm, Sweden, in July 2019, after he and his crew got into a fight with Mustafa Jafari. In August of that year, he was found guilty of assault and received a suspended prison sentence as well as a $1,270 fine.
