Who Is Blackway?
Blackway, real name Yaw Sintim-Misa, is a Ghanaian rapper signed with Republic Records.
Personal Life
Entertainment runs in Blackway’s blood, he is the son of Ghanaian actor Kwaku Sintim-Misa. He moved from Accra, Ghana to Long Island with his mother in 2006. Blackway first realized rap was his true calling when he had the leading role at a school play in middle school and ended up ditching it to drop a freestyle at his friend’s high school.
Music
Since 2013 Blackway has dropped several projects including Radiant Child,Radiant Child Reloaded, New Yhana, and Good.Bad.Faded. His video for “Cake” with Bandhunta Izzy went viral on WorldStarHipHop. He rapped alongside Gucci Mane on “That Fast”.
In 2018 Blackway collaborated with DJ duo Black Caviar on a track forThe Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack called “What’s Up Danger. It’s been viewed over 19,000,000 times on YouTube alone. Blackway said about his collaboration on the track:
