ABOUT FEBUARY
Febuary is a singer, songwriter, producer and creative director whose sound blurs the margins that separate music and film. A storytelling aficionado, his work is characterized by its genre blending Hip-Hop to Alternative R&B sound telling nocturnal tales of love lost, lust and heartache with casual bravado. Built on fogged and moody production, his plaintive lyrics guide you through guilty pleasures, self reflection and brooding ecstasy running like a soundtrack to a neo-noir Martin Scorsese film.
Febuary’s interest in art as a whole was inherited from his mother, a now retired retail store owner and fashion designer who worked in the fashion industry for ten years. As a result he was exposed to the production processes of fashion at an early age. Taking interest in fashion design and art direction at age seven, before picking up songwriting the following year. He later learned to produce music at the age of twelve: teaching himself the piano and gaining proficiency in genres ranging from Pop, Alternative Rock, Hip-Hop, House, Electro and most prominently R&B.
