Talented Ghanaian singer-songwriter, Gyakie made the exciting line up at the 2021 BET Africa Soul Cypher, a ceremony which celebrates all of that is Soul music related.
The cypher explored four different thematics in Soul music namely; Black Love, Black Power, Black Joy and Black Pride, with some of the biggest names in Black culture and entertainment who have embodied the poignant genre with great vocal embellishments and intense feelings.
Gyakie pursued the Black Joy theme alongside South African musicologist, Manana and Tanzanian bongo musician, Lava Lava. These artists, just like the other groups gave soulful versions of freestyles and original songs that shows the impact of soul music from the 70s to date.
