One of those who helped launch the iconic Nigerian hip-hop era in the past two decades was Jesse Jagz, who is regarded as one of the best rappers Africa has ever produced. He’s back in 2023 with his newest song, “Chant Down Babylon,” in an effort to rekindle the flame.
The seasoned rapper, just as he did on his 2010 album, tells us once more why he is the Jagz of All Trade. The song was written and produced by Jesse Jagz. The reggae-influenced song, which follows Jesse’s 2020 EP “Garba,” is his first official single for the year.
