Ghanaian rapper Kweku Smoke has just dropped his latest project, an EP titled Old Compound. The seven-track offering is a follow-up to his 2020 debut album, Snoop Forever, and features a sole guest appearance from Ghanaian singer Kwami Eugene on the track “Be Mine.”
Despite only having one guest feature, Kweku Smoke delivers a diverse range of sounds and themes on the project, with tracks like “Hope” and “Stay Alert” showing off his gritty, street-oriented side, while “Be Mine” lean more towards Afrobeat and highlife influences.
Old Compound is a solid offering from Kweku Smoke and further cements his status as one of Ghana’s most exciting young rap talents.
