Meet Ctea, The Ghanaian Producer Who Contributed To Black Coffee’s Grammy Winning Album ‘Subconciously’

On April 3, 2022, South African DJ and producer Black Coffee earned his first Grammy Award at the 64th Grammy Awards.

For the album ‘Subconsciously,’ he took home the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album.

C-Tea Beat, a Ghanaian music producer who worked on the album’s single ‘Flava,’ has been recognised for his effort.

“The prize goes to the performer, producer, and engineer/mixer, providing they worked on more than 50% of the playing time on the record,” according to the Grammy Awards description for the category. A Winners Certificate can be applied for by a producer or engineer who worked on less than 50% of the playing time, as well as a mastering engineer.”

As a result, C-Tea will continue to be recognized as a contributor to the Black Coffee’s body of work.

Many people have applauded the industrious music producer on his efforts on the record, which is a significant triumph for originality in the Ghanaian music scene.
