Burna Boy, Tems, and Pheelz, three of the scene’s favorites, are featured on former American president Barack Obama’s summer playlist for 2022.
On July 26, the ex-president himself posted the playlist on Twitter. He cited it as an illustration of how music truly has the power to unite people.
This year, Burna Boy’s Last Last, Tems’ Vibe Out, and Pheelz’ Finesse are among the songs on Obama’s summer playlist, along with Beyonce’s Break My Soul, Koffee’s Pull Up, Aretha Franklin’s Save Me, and a number of other songs by various artists.
Rema, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and other Afrobeats artists appeared on Barack Obama’s playlist in 2020.
