Zlatan ft Oberz, Frescool, Oladips, Kabex & TROD – Lagos Anthem (Remix)

The highly anticipated remix of Zlatan’s ‘Lagos Anthem’ is finally here. The Zanku Records kingpin drop snippets of the visual treatment to this song on his social media timelines which had everybody gassed up for the record. Zlatan recruits Oberz, Frescool, Oladips, Kabex and TROD for the remix of this P.Priime produced song.

Not much of a change from the original, the remix has ticks of Amapiano tones in it which makes it more fun to listen to.

O’Kenneth  ft Reggie & City Boy – Agyeiwaa

In August 2020, Ghanaian rap prospect under the imprint of Life Living Records, O’Kenneth dropped ‘Straight Outta Kumerica’, a collaborative EP with work fellow, Reggie Osei. The 6-track EP benefits from the sonic expansion of the wider drill scene, allowing O’Kenneth to showcase his musical prowess. String-led opener ‘Abasakoom’ is akin to buttery smooth trap, while ‘Ya Parke’ and ‘Ain’t Shid’ draws from cinematic Brooklyn cuts. ‘M.O.B’ is London winter-cold, full of funereal keys and dark bass.

Following the success of the extended play, the raspy-toned rapper grabbed the most attention with his verses on the posse cuts ‘Akatafoc’ and ‘Sore’ which went viral earning co-signs on social media from Virgil Abloh and Vic Mensa.

O’Kenneth unlocks his debut number of the year titled ‘Agyeiwaa’ featuring Reggie and City Boy. The trio fuse  English and Twi melodies switching between straight-talking bars and sung verses, which brings a luxurious texture to the sound as they perform a ballad of a girl called ‘Agyeiwaa’, daughter of a wealthy but strict dad.
