As a result of a video that appeared on Twitter, popular Nigerian musician BNXN, formerly known as Buju, appears to be the most recent well-known target of harassment by Nigerian police in the country.
The video, which was posted on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 17, showed a visibly irritated BNXN, parked down in an undisclosed part of Lagos, accompanied by armed police officers who were arguing with a bystander who appeared to be in the artist’s company.
Although neither BNXN’s crew nor the Nigerian police have released a statement, it appears that the situation was resolved before it could worsen.
